Revisit your Favorite Songs!
This project is a collection of tracks I produced with some new friends I met in Brooklyn, who all happen to be from Atlanta.
The title came from a time this summer, when Hundo and I were at this rooftop party, a little tipsy off Tequila, and I told him my idea to put the tracks together for a small tape or something. He started to talk about how all of our musical peers are stepping out and going hard with their missions, and it's time for us to step too. He mentioned I should drop this before the album I've been working on for so long, and I think he had a great point.
I met Hundo in 2024 through making some cover art for a song he was featured on, and we followed each other on IG. After some time, he visited NY and we became fast friends. One day he brought Rip over and we started making a lot of tracks over this past year. Salute to Rip and Hundo for having an amazing ear for beats. I love what they did and the songs we've created.
The track with Jordan was crazy. He came over to the crib in the summer of 2024, and he and another artist, (Shaii David) were having a conversation around the time he was about to leave. I think i got distracted from their talking and I ended up making the initial beat in 10 minutes or so. Jordan ended up recording a rough take of his verse, and then a year later, this past summer, we finished the track up.
Shout out to DK, who I met through Rip, for having a long ass conversation with me that ended up becoming the narrative speaking elements to the project.
Most importantly, salute to everyone who continues to engage with my art. There's always a lot to say, and I don't think I've ever been the best with words, so I'll keep using all of my mediums for my messages.
