Kinfolk

Kinfolk is an augmented reality app used to educate on Black history through engaging with 3D models of historic figures in site specific installations across the country.
I started working with them in 2021, and since then I’ve made the graphic components for several of their activations, including covers and illustrations for accompanying workbooks, as well as designing some of those workbooks themselves.

Kinfolk Juneteenth

In 2021 I was asked to make illustrations for a digital workbook that was to be used by school teachers in teaching their classes about Juneteenth. This project involved layout design as well as primarily creating spot illustrations to fill out the pages.

Black Radical Imagination

For this project I created a cover illustration for promotional use, as well as 21 portraits of Black radical thinkers. These were used in social media posts that I also designed. These were posted to the Kinfolk Instagram to be their social content for Black History Month in 2023. This online campaign was accompanied by in person events, curated to foster conversation about Black radical thinking in the modern day.
